People who think that a few pounds overweight isn’t bad will have an eye opener when they see this video! Markus talks about weight and relationships. He give a visual on just what 8, 15, 20 and 30 pounds overweight really looks like and means! You could have a multitude of reasons for being overweight. I know that when I had my big weight loss a few years back I didn’t maintain it because of things in my life and I fell back on old comfort eating habits. I had changed my body but didn’t work on my mind as well as I should have. In order to make changes in you weight you have to do the things that will do it physically but don’t forget what is going on in your head.
I think being in the right frame of mind and working on it all the time is the best way to beat this demon. Your mind will play tricks on you and make you think that “oh just once won’t hurt” but it does. The food itself may not cause much of a problem right at that point but what it does is enforce mental triggers and re-establishes old pathways in the mind to bring out the old bad habits again. Memories and the feelings associated with them will come back full throttle. Things you ate to conceal, hide, protect yourself, self medicate, instant pleasure, drown pain, comfort yourself…your list may be something different but the results are the same.
Now take all those reasons and add it to the junk processed foods that are designed to play on your built in pleasure and survival centers and you have the recipe for disaster!!!! Purge all of these nonsupporting things out of you life. Like Markus says – get rid of money problems, home problems, toxic relationships, or anything that you need to protect yourself from. People use food to escape or build a barrier between them and the problem. How do I know this? Because I frickin did it. I have doing it and it has taken a while to get myself back into the right mindset to start over again and change my life. Don’t let this chicken sh#t thing happen to you like I let it happen to me. We are all much stronger than this. You can change your mind to change your life.
Start by looking over your life and begin changing anything that is not supporting your. Remove things or add things – it is up to you and what you need to do. I know you can do it. Make the change and start NOW!!!
